Trip Overview

This spectacular and challenging new trek gives the ambitious trekker an enthusiastic charm while crossing high passes without the commitment of any technical climbing. Heading towards Everest you cross the Khangma La pass (5535m) to the Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar (5545m). After observing the classic climbing routes to the summit of Everest you complete a spectacular traverse over the Cho La pass (5420m) to the alpine pastures and lakes of Gokyo . From Gokyo Ri (5340m) you grab further outstanding views of Everest before heading over the Renjo La to the wild upper Bhote Kosi. During your time in this remote region you have the opportunity to attempt a number of non-technical routes on peaks that are well within the capabilities of the fit and experienced trekker – before returning to Kathmandu. This trek represents the whole Everest region with breathtaking views of Kanchenjunga, Makalu, Lhotse, Everest, Manaslu, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and many more peaks, valleys and lakes.
