Day 1: Airport Pick Up, Kraton – Taman Sari – Parangtritis Beach – check in hotel
Estimated arrival around 12 at afternoon, heading off to Kraton. Yogyakarta ruled by a king and Kraton is a palace where the king and family live. Kraton has some collection such of Java Traditional houses, antique furniture and painting. As a center of culture and religion rules, Kraton has many ceremonies that offering to God to get prosperity and safety. The complex of Kraton actually was designed with a lot of philosophy of life.
Get a lunch in a local restaurant then continue to Taman Sari Water Castle. Still in Kraton Complex, this castle was built by Sultan Hamengku Buwono I and completed by Sultan Hamengku Buwono II in 18th century. Taman Sari originally was a flower garden with artificial lake around buildings. The king and family when want to get a rest to the garden must take a boat. Now the lake is disappeared and left houses on it. The architecture of castle adopted from European style building.
Catch a sunset in Parangtritis Beach much more interesting to close your first day in Jogjakarta.

Day 2: Borobudur – Prambanan – Ramayana Ballet
Leave hotel after breakfast around 8am, the trip start to Borobudur Temple. This is a masterpiece of Javanese which built in period 8th - 9th century by Syailendra Dynasty as Buddhist temple. Some study found out that no other Buddhist building which has the similar style or architecture as Borobudur over the world. This become Borobudur is unique. Now Borobudur well known as a biggest Buddha religion temple in the world.
Then get a lunch in local restaurant.
When Sanjaya Dynasty took over the rules of Mataram Kingdom from Syailendra Dynasty in Java in end of 8th century, Prambanan started to build. The temple was built during the reign of Rakai Pikatan, the king from Sanjaya Hinduism Dynasty, as an homage to the God Shiva. It well known as House of Shiva or Grha Shiva in Sanskrit and the one of biggest Hinduism temple in South East Asia.
Ramayana ballet? A tale story about love and faith between Prince Rama and Princess Shinta. This is an ancient India epic which narrated the struggle of Rama to rescue Shinta who kidnaped by the demon King Ravana. Yogyakarta has Ramayana story in Javanese version. Usually the story is shown in the night when full moon. With Javanese music called gamelan, dances and song in old Javanese language. It’s stunning.

Day 3: Batik Course – check out hotel – drop off airport
Batik is most popular fabric in Indonesia especially in Jogjakarta. UNESCO designated Batik as Masterpiece Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity. In this Batik Course you will practice Batik technic and you can make your own design or pattern. You can bring home your result then. Back to hotel and check out.
